Current project example

The Climate Control Strategies GmbH implements since June 2010 2 CDM projects in two cement plants of Lao Cement Co., Ltd. and of Lao Cement Industry Co., Ltd. in Lao PDR.

1 project in the cement plant no. II of Lao Cement Co. in Vang Vieng, about 150 miles north-east of the capital, Vientiane, in the field of fuel switch. Approximately 40,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions are saved each year by the partial replacement of mineral coal by biomass in the combustion process of the cement works. The implementation of systems engineering will start in 2012, the crediting period of the CDM project will start in September 2012.

1 project in the cement works Thakehk of the Lao Cement Industry Co. in Thakehk, about 360 km south-east of the capital, Vientiane, in the field of fuel switch. Approximately 70,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions are saved each year by the partial replacement of mineral coal by biomass/waste in the combustion process of the cement works.
